The simulation uses a kinematic single-track (Ackermann) model in real meters.
Vehicle length, wheelbase and maximum wheel angle change the maneuver noticeably —
just as they do in a real car.

Attempt comparison
Every value is a measured quantity. There is deliberately no score whose
calculation you cannot follow.

Parkwise is a browser-based parking practice simulator. It is built to teach how a real
car behaves while parking — how far the rear swings out when reversing, when to apply
full lock, when to counter-steer and how vehicle length and wheelbase change the
maneuver. It is deliberately not an arcade game.
What makes it different
Every movement comes from a kinematic vehicle model. The car is never shifted across the map independently of its geometry.
All dimensions are in real units — meters, degrees and km/h.
In training mode the software never steers, never corrects and never forces an ideal line.
After each attempt you get measured values rather than an opaque score, so you can compare attempts objectively.
Who it is for
Learner drivers, people returning to driving after a break, and anyone who wants to
understand the geometry of parking before trying it in a real car.
The car moves according to a kinematic single-track (bicycle / Ackermann) model with the
rear axle as the reference point. For a wheel angle δ and wheelbase L the rear axle follows
a circle of radius R = L / tan δ. Because the rear of the car sits behind that point, it
swings out naturally — nothing is added artificially.
Deterministic, frame-rate independent
Physics runs at a fixed step of 1/120 s with exact arc integration, independent of your
screen’s refresh rate. There is no randomness: the same start position and the same
inputs always produce exactly the same path.
Collisions
The car’s outline is checked against every obstacle at each step. On contact the car stops
at its last free position and the collision is counted and marked. There are no invisible
corrections.
Reference points
Hints such as the turn-in point or the counter-steer angle are calculated from the
geometry of the selected vehicle and the current scene. They describe what is
geometrically true at that moment; they do not drive for you.
Known simplifications
Tires do not slip; at parking speeds this matches reality closely.
Suspension, road gradient and weather are not simulated.
The 3D views are simplified. Simplifications only affect what you see, never how the car moves.

1. Scope
These terms apply to the use of the Parkwise parking simulator (the “Service”). By using
the Service you accept these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. The Service
Parkwise is provided free of charge as an educational tool. It runs entirely in your
browser. No registration or account is required, and nothing you do in the simulator is
sent to a server.
3. No substitute for driving instruction
The Service is a practice aid. It does not replace lessons with a qualified driving
instructor, it does not prepare you for any official driving test and it does not entitle
you to drive a vehicle. Values and hints in the simulator are based on a simplified model
and may differ from the behavior of a specific real vehicle. Always follow traffic law, the
instructions of your driving instructor and the vehicle manufacturer’s manual.
4. Permitted use
You may use the Service for personal, non-commercial learning and for teaching. You must
not attempt to disrupt the Service, overload the servers that deliver it or use it for any
unlawful purpose.
5. Availability and changes
The Service is offered as it is and as available. There is no entitlement to uninterrupted
availability. Features, scenarios and vehicle data may be changed, extended or removed at
any time.
6. Liability
The Service is provided free of charge and without warranties of any kind, to the extent
permitted by applicable law. We are not liable for damage arising from the use of the
Service or from decisions made in real traffic on the basis of the simulator. Nothing in
these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under
applicable law, such as liability for intentional misconduct, gross negligence or injury to
life, body or health.
7. Intellectual property
The software, design, texts and graphics of the Service are protected by copyright. Fonts
and other third-party components are used under their respective licenses (see
“Licenses & credits”).
8. Final provisions
These terms do not affect any rights you have under mandatory consumer protection law
where you live. We may update these terms when the Service changes; the version shown here
applies from the date stated above. Should any provision of these terms be invalid, the
remaining provisions remain effective.
Parkwise does not collect, store or share any personal data. There are no accounts, no
cookies, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party services. Everything the simulator
records about your driving stays in the memory of your open browser tab.
1. Data processed by the simulator
While you drive, the app records the position, rotation, speed, steering and gear of the
simulated car, plus collisions and distances, so it can show you the analysis. These
values describe the virtual car only. They are held in the working memory of your browser
tab, are never transmitted anywhere and are deleted automatically when you reload or close
the page. The app does not use cookies, Local Storage, Session Storage or IndexedDB.
2. Delivering the website
To display the site, your browser requests its files from the web server that hosts it.
As with any website, the hosting server technically processes the data your browser sends
with each request — in particular your IP address, date and time, the requested file, the
referring page and the browser and operating-system version. This is necessary to deliver
the site and to keep it secure, and it is based on the legitimate interest in operating a
reliable and secure website. These server logs are not combined with other data and are not used
to identify you; they are deleted once they are no longer needed for these purposes.
3. No third-party requests
All fonts, scripts and graphics are delivered from the same server as the page itself.
The site does not load anything from font services, content delivery networks, social
networks or tracking providers.
4. Contacting us by email
If you send us an email, we use your email address and the content of your message only to
answer your request. Your message is not shared with anyone else and is deleted once the
matter has been dealt with, unless it has to be kept for a legal reason. Emails are
delivered and stored by our email service provider. The simulator itself never sends
anything; an email is only sent if you choose to write one.
5. Your rights
Depending on the data protection law that applies to you, you may have the right to
access, correct or delete personal data, to restrict or object to its processing and to
receive it in a portable format. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a
data protection authority. Because the simulator itself does not collect personal data,
these rights mainly concern the technical server logs described above and any emails you
have sent us. To exercise them, write to hello.parkwise@outlook.com.
6. Changes
If the way the site works changes — for example, if a feature to save attempts is added —
this policy will be updated before that change goes live.

Parkwise does not set any cookies and does not use comparable technologies such as
Local Storage, Session Storage, IndexedDB, tracking pixels or device fingerprinting.
That is why you do not see a cookie banner: there is nothing to consent to. Your choices —
vehicle, maneuver, options and color scheme — only apply to the current page and reset
when you reload it.

We want Parkwise to be usable by as many people as possible.
What is supported
Complete keyboard operation: driving, steering, gears, cameras, reset and evaluation all have keyboard shortcuts.
Mouse and touch control for the steering wheel, pedals and gear selector.
Visible focus indicators on all interactive elements.
Dark and light color schemes.
Reduced motion: interface animations are switched off if your operating system asks for reduced motion.
Browser zoom is not blocked.
Speed, gear, steering angle, distance and all results are also available as text.
Known limitations
The camera views and mirrors are drawn on a canvas and cannot be described in full detail to screen readers. The key values are shown as text in the instrument panel.
The simulator requires quick visual feedback; it is primarily a visual training tool.
Feedback
If something is hard to use for you, please tell us at hello.parkwise@outlook.com. We will reply and try to find a
solution.

Parkwise is for practice at home, never for use while driving. Do not use it on a phone or tablet in a moving vehicle.
Real cars differ: steering ratio, turning circle, mirrors and visibility vary from model to model. Transfer what you have learned carefully and slowly.
In real traffic, watch for pedestrians, cyclists and other vehicles at all times. The simulator does not include other road users.
Parking aids and rear cameras in real cars can fail or mislead. Always check your mirrors and look over your shoulder.
If you are learning to drive, practice real maneuvers only with a qualified instructor or an accompanying adult as permitted by law.
